Menu

The original menu, upper left in the image, was a highly pixelated, photocopy of a photocopy. The menu I designed was intended to create an upscale feel, with organic undertones. It was a clipboard mounted 4 page menu, with a grease pen attached. Each page stepped up in width to allow food categories to be titled in the right margin. All pages were laminated and on the first page the customer could mark their order with the pen, write in their name and give it to the counter person.

Signage

Other than a single 5' by 5' logomark wall display on the exterior of the building, the deli had no external advertising. I created a sandwich board display to place just outside the outdoor seating area on the sidewalk.

Pizza Packaging

The deli was using a plain white box for their take home pizza packaging, with one of the pixelated menus taped to the top. I completely redesigned the pizza box to be consistent with the brand. The top of the box has the specialty pizza options, the side and rear flaps show the delis non pizza menu options and the front flap shows the address, website, phone number and a tag line.

Sandwich Packaging

The deli was using plain white sandwich paper to wrap the take out sandwiches. I designed a sandwich bag that included the logo, phone number and tag line to be consistent with the brand.

The concept is that a tent is contained in the milk carton once tent is assembled, carton can be used to collect water. The can contains everything needed to start a fire, and the can is usable as a cooking pot. Everything you need in two small multi use containers that will fit in a backpack.
