Urbana Deli was a local, organic deli right in the heart of downtown Corpus Christi, Texas. With its location on the border between the business and art district, its mid day clientele came from legal and other corporate offices, and it's night clientele were a mix of tourists, local residents and the typical inner city night crowd. The deli owners were avid supporters of the local art scene and made their wall space available to local artists and frequent art shows. This project was created as an experimental update to their branding and marketing, but I worked closely with the owners in development and they expressed the potential for them to commission the entire project. Unfortunately they closed their doors for personal reasons prior to completion of the project.
The original menu, upper left in the image, was a highly pixelated, photocopy of a photocopy. The menu I designed was intended to create an upscale feel, with organic undertones. It was a clipboard mounted 4 page menu, with a grease pen attached. Each page stepped up in width to allow food categories to be titled in the right margin. All pages were laminated and on the first page the customer could mark their order with the pen, write in their name and give it to the counter person.
The deli was using a plain white box for their take home pizza packaging, with one of the pixelated menus taped to the top. I completely redesigned the pizza box to be consistent with the brand. The top of the box has the specialty pizza options, the side and rear flaps show the delis non pizza menu options and the front flap shows the address, website, phone number and a tag line.
Port Aransas Art Center is a local art gallery and art services business located on the island of Port Aransas, Texas. They were heavily damaged by a hurricane in 2017 and as part of the rebuild of the center, they were looking to rebrand and upscale their image. The Graphic Design Department of Texas A&M Corpus Christi decided to provide a free, complete rebrand as a student class project. A team of university junior year students, including myself, worked together to provide a new logo, signage, printed marketing materials, website creation and social media assets. All work was accepted and is live and in use today.

The can contains everything needed to start a fire, and the can is usable as a cooking pot. Everything you need in two small multi use containers that will fit in a backpack.

This was a commissioned project in 2018 to provide the city with printed materials for hurricane safety and awareness to its citizens. A safety brochure to be mailed out with a rear view mirror hanger of key contact numbers that could be taken along during evacuation. The mirror hanger was also magnetic backed to allow residents to keep it on their refrigerator during non emergency times.
